Ensure profitable and sustainable refining of gold dore to marketable products.
Core elements or functions that must operate effectively in order to achieve primary purpose:
• Metals Management and Assurance - A custodian of Daily, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual stock takes.
• Responsible for Accounting of Au and Ag losses/gains.
• SSHERQ - Responsible for Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality, Risk and Security Management and Compliance as a 16,2 Appointee in line with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Production - Responsible for fulfilling production targets in terms of Time, Quantity and Quality in line with customer demands.
• Cost Management and Budgeting - Responsible for budgeting and continuous monitoring of cost centre spending. This also involves cost saving initiatives.
• Human Resource Management - Leading and developing a team towards a common vision of safe and profitable refining. Ensuring sound relationships are maintained with key stakeholders like the Unions.
• Technical Continuous Improvement Projects - A custodian of all technical and continuous improvement work under the area of responsibility.
• Liaising with customers, contractors and suppliers.
