Primary purpose of current/most recent position:
Sourcing and purchasing. Management of stock is my responsibility and it is crucial as it has to be accurate, this affects our weekly planning, budgeting and month end stock takes that I manage
Core elements or functions that must operate effectively in order to achieve primary purpose:
Order planning - Plotting each orders requirements to obtain a forecast of our total requirements.
Weekly budgeting - Providing the business of our total spend required, so that funds can be allocated.
Ordering - Placing orders in advance so that once funds are allocated, stock is to arrive as soon as possible.
Stock Counts - Month end stock for the entire business to be managed by myself, obtaining counts from each department and submitting them to the Financial Manager before close of day.
Team Management - Ensuring that my team is aware of what is required from them daily, ensuring they are aware of which orders are currently being manufactured and to be manufactured.
