As a design manager, I supervise the engineering discipline leads for multi-disciplinary projects from planning to detailed design delivery. My responsibilities include crafting proposals during the bidding stage, overseeing technical development, adhering to budget and schedule constraints, ensuring technical feasibility, and offering client-focused technical support.

Core elements or functions that must operate effectively in order to achieve primary purpose:

The Design Manager (DM) leads the delivery of a project's design component and the functions that must operate effectively (DM Support):
1) Project Manager (PM) - Assist with client interface (Commercial), review construction-related budget and provide input for monthly ETC /EAC cost and schedule management / contingency management and confirm project governance plans are being followed
2) Quality Manager (QCM) - Set up project standards
3) Digital Delivery Lead (DDL) - overseeing the digital aspects of project delivery including the required Level of Design (LOD) inputs and clash detection
4) Environmental Planning Lead - provide advice/technical expertise on legislation, regulations and support resource consent processing
